About The Crucible
The Crucible Gallery was established by founders Sari Ortiga, Randall Young, and Richard Dee. They started with a publishing house, launching ‘Art Philippines’ in 1992 which became a seminal piece of literature in Philippine art. They moved on to exhibitions in the ’90s, highlighting the work of mid-century Philippine masters in the global landscape. They opened the Crucible Gallery in 1993 and delved into workshop production of sculptures, limited edition prints, and photography. Today, they join the digital art sphere with their first NFT Gallery in collaboration with CyrptoPop’s Luis Buenaventura and Anton Vera. The gallery features contemporary artists Alfredo Aquilizan, Junyee, Kajo Baldisimo, Lyle Sacris, Igan D’ Bayan, Jason Quibilan and Jordan Mendoza. They also feature work from the backroom with Arturo Luz, Pandy Aviado, Lor Calma and Dr. William Chua.
