About Lawig-Diwa x Gallery Down South
Artist, Rey Mudjahid “Kublai” Millan, established the Gallery Down South in 2019 as a venue for exhibition and residency of local artists, including those mentored by Kublai himself. It has also been a venue for other artists across other regions. It is situated at Salcedo Village, Maa, Davao City.
The gallery is one among the many undertakings of Kublai. It is literally located in a lower dwelling at Balai Kublai, facing south, which signifies Mindanao being in the southern part of the archipelago, thus the name Gallery Down South.
