Founded in 1984 by an archivist with a passion for collecting Philippine art and memorabilia, ARCHIVO 1984 steps away from the traditional and takes on a distinct personal approach to curation. ARCHIVO 1984 is an invitation into a private world where art, literature, film memorabilia, OPM and turn of the century records are preserved in seamless coexistence for those with an obsessive predilection for collectibles and beautiful objects.

About Archivo 1984
Archivo 1984 houses literary pieces covering all genres across different periods and takes careful consideration in preserving published resources that include early editions and out of print books along with new and upcoming publications. The bookshop, originally located at the Little Theatre Lobby of the Cultural Center of the Philippines welcomes readers to a collection of timeless texts on subjects like art, film, music, entertainment, and more in the company of iconic film posters and memorabilia as the shop’s wall display and a tasteful selection of OPM records playing throughout the day. Currently, the book collection is housed in the gallery branch in Chino Roces Avenue where guests may visit and view Archivo 1984’s display of paintings as well.
